Rowland Transportation is a Florida based refrigerated trucking company offering dedicated services to large grocery accounts. Due to continued growth we are in need of safe, experienced CDL drivers to join our fleet in Dade City, FL.

We are currently accepting applications for Commercial Driver's License Class A Truck Drivers for dedicated runs out of Dade City, FL. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license and minimum of 1 year service and prior verifiable experience and references. Over the road and regional experience required.

Pick up loads from grocery warehouses and make 2-3 stops per day to grocery stores in TN, GA, SC, NC, and FL (intra-state runs are common). NO TOUCH FREIGHT! Primary schedules are 7 days out, 2 days home or 12 days out, 2 days home.

Responsibilities of the CDL Class A Truck Driver

Deliver freight in a timely manner while safely operating their vehicles
Drive trucks with capacity of more than 3 tons to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
Managing proof of delivery paperwork from customers
Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle

Requirements of the CDL Class A Truck Driver

Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver s License, with air brakes endorsement with 1 year of service and prior verifiable experience and references
6 months reefer experience preferred but will train
Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen
Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Able to be away from home 7-12 days at a time, working up to 12 hour days
Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses

Compensation for the CDL Class A Truck Driver

Salary for this position is $035 - $0.37/mile based on experience plus layover and detention, if applicable. Approximately $900-$1000 gross per week. MPG and Safety Bonuses can bring rate up to $0.40/mile.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
