SUMMARY: Diagnoses and treats variety of diseases and injuries in general practice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.Consistently provides high quality outpatient health care for PCHG patients during clinic operating hours.
2.Consistently provides high quality inpatient medical care for PCHG patients under physician supervision and is available for On Call responsibilities as assigned by Chief of Service.
3.Provides healthcare to Premier patients in a manner that is consistent with national and local standards of care and PCHG practice protocols.
4.Works effectively with nursing and other support staff to promote an efficient and pleasant work environment.
5.Appropriately refers to and consults with professional specialists and outside agencies as needed to provide optimal care to patients.
6.Practices cost containment through efficient utilization of laboratory and medical testing resources.
7. Maintains minimum productivity level as specified in Premier policy.
8. Attends Premier meetings and serves on appropriate committees.
9. Participates as Peer Reviewer in Premier Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance program.
10. Maintains current professional licensing and
certification requirements.
11. Provides training and supervision for visiting health profession students and Premier medical staff.
12. Supervises nurse practitioner and/or nurse midwives assigned to the physician's practice.
13. Other duties requested by Chief of Service, Medical Director, or Executive Director.
QUALFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduate of AAMC approved medical school or equivalent, graduate of AAMC approved specialty residency program, completion of 40 hours specialty appropriate CME within last year, and completion of Florida's required I hour HIV and 2 hours Risk Management CME within the last two years.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents, Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or styles. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida Medical License; valid specialty board certification or eligibility, DEA certificate, current ACLS, PALS and/or NALS certificate, as appropriate.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Eligible for admitting privileges at local hospitals, eligible for Medicaid, Medicare, and various HMO's Provider status. Eligible for malpractice insurance without special risk assignments.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
