General Maintenance Worker II Full-time

Description: The General Maintenance Worker II is responsible for all maintenance-related operations of the Pasco County Community Services Programs which include, Bethany Family Apartments, Pasco Womens Shelter and Pathways Extremely Low-Income sites. Some of the essential functions of the job are apartment turnovers, fulfillment of daily work orders, inventory, and ordering supplies and overall responsibility of the cleanliness and sanitation of the properties and sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complies with all applicable training requirements.
Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures.
Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs.
Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team.
Participates in Agency Performance Quality Improvement (/PQI) program and Accreditation/Reaccreditation process.
Performs other duties as necessary to fulfill Catholic Charities Diocese of St Petersburg, Inc Mission.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Able to speak, write and understand English.

Possess strong work ethics.
Successfully pass a FDLE Level II background screening.
Valid Florida drivers license, ability to drive van or bus and have reliable transportation.

Education & Experience:
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED from an institution accredited by the Department of Education.
3-year experience in a building trade such as carpentry, painting, and/or masonry.
Electrical, HVAC or a combination of training, education and experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
