SUMMARY: The manager for the mobile dental program provides leadership for the mobile dental staff, maintains the mobile unit to ensure safety of the vehicle and manages the day to day responsibilities of dental services available on the mobile unit, including collaboration with schools and organizations throughout the service area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following, other duties may be assigned.
1. Manage the Mobile Dental Program.
Ensure delivery of mobile dental services to target population.
Oversee the daily schedule and operations of the mobile dental program.
Coordinate and obtain appropriate consents for treatment and documentation required from parent/guardian(s).
Coordinate the scheduling of appointments for treatment, ensuring adequate number of patients are scheduled.
Troubleshoot and resolve inquires and/or concerns.
Facilitate the transport of children to and from the mobile dental clinic.
Conduct oral health needs assessments with consumers/patients.
2. Develop relationships with community partners & stakeholders.
Serve as a liaison between Premier and the school district/sites to be serviced.
Attend school events to promote the mobile dental program.
Conduct public speaking activities and participate in community meetings/events.
Identify community resources in service area.
Plan and implement educational sessions on the purpose and goals of the mobile dental program.
3. Provide Oral Health Education.
Obtain and utilize appropriate provider-approved oral health related educational materials.
Deliver oral health educational sessions to target population.
Track and analyze events, educational sessions and number of persons impacted through oral health education.
4. Adhere to Premier's Motor Vehicle Safety Program.
Ensure parking arrangements and access to a water line for mobile unit.
Ensure the safety of the mobile clinic and compliance with all risk management policies and guidelines.
Provide a secure and clean environment on the mobile unit.
Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous material.
5. Provide leadership for the Mobile Dental Services team.
Provide technical expertise to manage patient records through the electronic health records (EHR) system used by the organization.
Conduct regularly scheduled team meetings.
Monitor entry of data and ensure timely completion of encounters, charges and/or payments.
Conduct inventory and ensure required supplies and needed resources are ordered and stocked for team utilization.
Conduct audits of patient charts to ensure timely, consistent, accurate and complete documentation in compliance with the treatment/services rendered.
Track patient care outcomes and ensure completion of treatment plans.
6. Communicate organizational information and updates.
Attend office manager, all staff and committee meetings as scheduled.
Inform and monitor team for accurate implementation and follow through.
Ensure information requested/required is received by assigned deadlines.
7. Coordinate with Human Resources in recruiting and retention of care team members.
Communicate the need for emergency staffing needs (i.e. Temp Agencies, Locums etc.)
Participate in interviewing potential candidates.
Communicate with HR coaching, warning or retraining needs of care team members.
Preform annual evaluations.
8. Anticipate staffing needs with other Office Managers.
Coordinate care team members and providers work schedules based on hours of operation to ensure adequate coverage.
Arrange temporary coverage with other offices.
9. Use of current timekeeping system.
Monitor employees' work hours.
Manage overtime and justify.
Review and approve leave requests.
Perform biweekly payroll duties according to current process.
10. Travel Expectation.
Comply with PCHG's motor vehicle safety program.
Use of own automobile for local travel.
Valid driver's license and automobile in good repair.
11. Compile data and produce quantitative and qualitative program/department reports as needed.
12. Ensure patient confidentiality and EMR security at all times.
Maintain patient information within HIPAA
13. Keep other care team members informed when situations occur that disrupts timely patient flow through site.
14. Consistently participates in and actively adheres to the patient experience program to attain clinical goals set forth in the PCHG Health Care Plans and the Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Mobile Dental Clinic Staff.

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:
Bachelor's degree in public health, human services, healthcare administration or related field of study and/or a minimum of three (3) years of equivalent experience.
General knowledge of community health/public health centers philosophy and operating principles.
Experience managing a dental clinic or program.
Basic budgeting and mathematical skills.
Ability to work independently and with a wide range of internal and external groups of people.
COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS:
Exceptional Customer Service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Public speaking expertise.
Excellent grammar, spelling and interpersonal skills.

Occasional travel to off-site locations required to ensure proper parking of mobile clinic in advance of service dates.
Physical exertion includes standing, carrying equipment and supplies, reaching overhead and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to drive and use of a private vehicle.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Direct exposure to computer screen.
May be exposed to contagious/infectious diseases.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
